Dr. Prerna Gupta has served as the Head of Department, Moolchand Fertility & IVF services from the year 2014 to December 2018. During her tenure, she was solely responsible for all fertility services in the hospital and quality management of the lab. She was involved in the IVF procedures -oocyte pick up, embryo transfers, Testicular sperm aspiration, intrauterine insemination, ovulation induction, laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy. She had treated hundreds of central government (CGHS), Delhi government health services (DGHS) patients for IVF. She is still associated with the hospital as a Visting Consultant. Dr. Prerna Gupta is an alumnus of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She joined AIIMS in the year 1999 as an MBBS student. She was always a meritorious student from the start, an NTSE scholarship holder and achieved 2nd rank in CBSE-PMT entrance examination. During her undergraduate days itself, she showed keen interest in the field of obstetrics and gynecology and chose it for her Postgraduate studies. Clearing the postgraduate entrance at first go she started her residency at AIIMS, NEW Delhi and continued to do her senior residency and then work as a Pool Officer. During her days at AIIMS she was closely interested in the field of IVF and wrote many research papers and publications like the effect of obesity on IVF success rates. She could closely empathise with the plight of infertile couples and the hardships faced by them. To further her understanding and expertise she chose to do Commonwealth Fellowship in the field of IVF at Bristol Center of Reproductive Medicine, UK. During this long and fruitful journey of 15 years at AIIMS, Dr. Prerna Gupta brings in the the knowledge and expertise of exposure to some of the most difficult IVF cases at AIIMS and UK.
